This position requires an expert in structural steel material and labor estimation, capable of handling complex projects and leading the execution of complete project estimates. The role involves performing detailed material and labor take-offs, reviewing estimates for compliance, supporting the sales team, and managing the training of estimating staff. This role is specifically targeted at mid-senior level to Chief Estimator candidates who are willing to relocate to Dallas or Oklahoma City.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in the structural steel industry in a similar role.
- Understanding of complex steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Minimum of a BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Outlook, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Revit, Tekla, and related model software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the execution of full project estimates and develop supporting documentation.
- Perform both computer-aided and hand take-offs of complex structural steel components.
- Review outgoing estimates for corporate compliance and support the sales team in project interviews and meetings.
Educational Requirements: - Minimum of a BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
