The Mold Technician role is a key manufacturing support position, responsible for setting and removing injection molds, initiating process settings, and performing first-shot activities. The position ensures molds are correctly set up and maintained, and involves coordination with the Process Technician for verification and adjustments as needed.

Main Duties & Responsibilities, Key Skills & Educational Requirements:

- Review and execute the daily mold change schedule as directed by the Group Leader.
- Set and prepare molds in the molding press, ensuring all auxiliary equipment is connected and operational.
- Shut down, remove, and store the previous mold and complete all associated documentation and housekeeping.
- Perform first shots of the product and notify the Process Technician for process verification.
- Log and grind scrap material as required, ensuring proper documentation and disposal.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in troubleshooting issues with molds and equipment.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with different levels of associates and maintain process clarity.
- High school diploma or GED, or three months of relevant experience/training.
- Forklift driver's license is required for material handling.
