Structural Field Engineer

The Field Engineer is responsible for delivering technical education, support, and services to customers across various product lines. This role focuses on establishing and maintaining relationships with design professionals, specifiers, and contractors, offering technical consultations on complex projects. The position is based in the Kansas City metro area and covers multiple states, (Kansas City, St Louis, Oklahoma City, Nashville, Memphis, Little Rock, Tulsa) requiring  travel twice a month.  We’re looking for a Structural Field Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in structural engineering, particularly in commercial structures like reinforced concrete, masonry, and structural steel. Experience with design software like AutoCAD and familiarity with structural connectors are a plus.

Main Duties & Responsibilities, Key Skills & Educational Requirements:
Main Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Technical Support (60%): Provide expertise and support for concrete anchoring, strengthening, and repair products, using product knowledge to develop solutions for diverse applications.
  2. Relationship Management (30%): Build and maintain relationships with design professionals and contractors to secure product specifications.
  3. Collaboration with Sales & Engineering (10%): Work closely with sales and engineering teams to identify and support opportunities for product solutions.
Key Skills
  1. Customer Focus: Ability to effectively solve customer problems, maintain relationships, and adapt to changing needs.
  2. Technical Communication: Strong skills in delivering technical presentations and communicating complex information clearly.
  3. Self-Management: Capable of managing multiple projects, setting priorities, and maintaining productivity in a dynamic environment.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).
  • Engineering-In-Training (EIT) certification (required).
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, Civil or Structural (PE or SE) preferred.
  • 3 years of structural engineering experience, with knowledge of commercial structures, reinforced concrete, masonry, cold-formed steel, and/or structural steel.
